The Showgrounds at Sam Houston Race Park is Houston’s best outdoor concert venue, located 15 minutes from downtown, offering a variety of live music from national touring Country, Classic Rock, Contemporary and Alternative rock acts.  Make things interesting by spending an evening enjoying:

Age Limit:
Sam Houston Race Park is an all-ages venue.  Children ages 12 and under may enter The Park for free.  Post-race concert events at The Showgrounds are free for children ages 12 and under. The minimum age to place a wager is 21.  You must be 21 years of age to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages.  Texas State Photo ID for all patrons under the age of 30 is required for all alcoholic beverage purchases.

Tickets to all events at The Showgrounds at Sam Houston Race Park are available online at www.theshowgrounds.com or by phone at 800-211-3381.  All shows are Rain or Shine. There are no refunds or exchanges once tickets are purchased.

You can print an “e-Ticket,” have tickets mailed or claim tickets the day of the show at Will Call.  All Will Call tickets require a photo ID.  Will Call is located at the South Entrance of The Park near the Valet Circle for all post-race concert events.  Will Call for non-live racing days is located at the North Entrance to The Park.

Parking Information:
Valet Parking for live racing days is available for $8.  Premium Parking for live racing days and concerts is available for $10.  General Parking is available for $5.  Please note, parking passes purchased in advance or over the phone must be purchased no later than 10 days prior to race or event date. 

Admissions:
For the general safety of our patrons:

• All carried items, including bags, are subject to search. No large bags or backpacks are permitted in The Park;
• Guests who do not agree to be searched will be denied entry to The Park;
• Re-entry for live racing events will be permitted with appropriate wrist band or stamp which will be at the sole discretion of the venue.
• Concert re-entry is determined on a show-by-show basis and will require a wrist band or stamp.  Please note, some concert events will not allow re-entry.

Seating Options:
The Showgrounds at Sam Houston Race Park is a general admission venue.  For select concert events, a pit area or reserved seating options may be available.  General Admission to The Showgrounds does not provide seating and space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. 
Disabled Guest Information
The Showgrounds at Sam Houston Race Park provides Accessible Entrances for disabled patrons at the North & South Entrances of The Park.  Disabled parking spaces are available in the Main Parking Lot.  Disabled Seating will be available for all live racing dates and concert events.  Please call 281-807-8819 with specific questions and to purchase accessible seats.

Concessions:
The Showgrounds at Sam Houston Race Park provides various food and beverages at concession stands located on the infield area of the venue.  Texas State Photo ID for all patrons under the age of 30 is required for all alcoholic beverage purchases.  Payment methods include Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover. 

Sam Houston Race Park and 97, Inc. are committed to the responsible service of alcoholic beverages.  We are required to adhere to the following the policies:

• The Park will not serve an alcoholic beverage to anyone under the age of 21;
• The Park will carefully check identification for anyone who appears to be under 30 years of age;
• The Park accept only valid Texas Driver’s Licenses or other Photo ID issued by the State of Texas as proof of age;
• If a customer cannot provide acceptable proof of age, The Park will refuse service of alcoholic beverages;
• The Park will serve a maximum of two alcoholic beverages to a customer per transaction; 
• The Park will not serve an alcoholic beverage to patrons who are intoxicated or to anyone who appears to be nearing intoxication.

Restrooms:
The Showgrounds at Sam Houston Race Park offers restroom facilities for patrons on the infield area of the venue as well as on the Paddock, Club and Suite level of the Grandstand building. 

ATM Information:
The Showgrounds at Sam Houston Race Park provides patrons with ATM machines located in the Paddock and Club Levels as well as on the infield area of the venue.  Guests may withdraw up to $200 per day from the machine.  Withdrawals are available through the use of a debit card only.  Credit cards are not accepted by the machines.

Please note, the Rules & Regulations stated below are related to The Showgrounds at Sam Houston Race Park only. 

Fan Conduct Policy:
Anyone exhibiting disruptive or unruly behavior, who is intoxicated, illegally possesses alcohol or other prohibited substances, or who interferes with the ability of others to enjoy the event will be ejected from The Showgrounds and subject to arrest.

Camera Usage Policy:
Cameras are allowed for concert events unless otherwise dictated by the artists or tour.  Media inquiries regarding photos of live racing and concert events need to be coordinated through the Media Relations department.  For more information, contact grotolo@shrp.com or call 281-807-8771.

Sam Houston Race Park will NOT tolerate the following from guests anywhere on property:

• Tailgating
• Standing on chairs
• The distribution of items, flyers, pamphlets, printed materials, as well as the solicitation of signatures is not permitted without written authorization from Management.

Entry Policy:
The Showgrounds at Sam Houston Race Park is an all-ages venue.  Anyone entering The Park may be asked to consent to a visual inspection.  Guests not allowing the inspection will be refused entry.
